The road to life is a disciplined life; ignore correction and you're lost for good.
Proverbs 10:17
It's funny how the things we tend to fight against can actually have the potential for the greatest impact in our lives.
EX. DISCIPLINE
we tend to think that discipline will cause us to enjoy life less. that some how it will have a biding effect on what we want to do. We create a scenario in our live that we live by saying that if we live with to many boundaries and guide rails then life is not going to be fun at all.
I herd the illustration of a concert pianist.
Illusion: They sit down and run the keys like crazy seamlessly hitting anything they want and making profound music. it seems to the untrained eye that they are not living within any boundaries they have complete freedom on the piano to do what ever they want.
Fact: because they spent so many years of disciplined learning always playing repetitious scales, constantly correcting there skill and positioning committed 100% to the guardrails of the instrument that they can sit down with absolute freedom to play with ease and proficiency.
Moral: if you want a life of freedom, it will come through a constant attention given to guardrails and disciplines that will allow you to live within a greater freedom than you could have ever imagined.
